What is Flexible Naso-Endoscopy?

Flexible Naso-Endoscopy is a minimally invasive procedure used to examine the nose, throat, and voice box. A thin, flexible tube with a light and camera is gently inserted through the nostril to provide a clear view of your nasal passages, sinuses, and larynx.

What to expect

During the procedure:

  • Topical anaesthetic spray may be applied to the nose for comfort
  • The flexible endoscope is gently passed through the nostril
  • The ENT specialist examines the nasal passages, sinuses, and throat using a monitor
  • The procedure typically takes 5 to 10 minutes

After the procedure:

  • Mild discomfort, sneezing, or a watery nose may occur
  • Normal activities can usually resume immediately
